With a staggering 99% positive review rate and a stellar 4.9 out of 5-star rating on Google, IMTS Institute stands as a symbol of excellence in education. But when malicious reviews began surfacing on MouthShut.com, doubts cast a shadow on this stellar reputation.
What’s concerning is that these reviews were posted by unverified users with an apparent agenda to manipulate and defame IMTS Institute. Shockingly, these false accounts alleged services that the institution never even offered! It became evident that MouthShut.com had provided a breeding ground for baseless accusations.
IMTS Institute, driven by a commitment to integrity and a genuine desire to address any student concerns, attempted to engage with MouthShut.com. They sought clarity on these dubious reviews and even set up a virtual meeting with Mr. Mihir Vidwans, an official representative of MouthShut.com.
In this meeting, Mr. Vidwans made a startling revelation. He not only confirmed that these reviews were from unverified users but also offered IMTS Institute various packages to control and remove the negative reviews. The truth was out: MouthShut.com was well aware of the unverified nature of these accusations and was willing to profit from their deception.
Even more disturbing was MouthShut.com’s refusal to cooperate or reveal the identities of these unverified reviewers. Matters took an extortionate turn when a female executive demanded exorbitant sums, ranging from 400,000 to 550,000 annually, to remove these malicious reviews.
IMTS Institute, steadfast in its commitment to authenticity, refused to cave to these extortionist tactics. But MouthShut.com persisted in its deceptive practices, continuously tarnishing the institution’s online image.
From a student’s perspective, this battle reveals a disturbing reality: the potential for online platforms to be manipulated for ulterior motives. It’s a stark reminder to approach online reviews with caution and discernment. In the face of adversity, IMTS Institute has taken a principled stance, serving a Legal Notice to Faisal Farooqui, the orchestrator of this campaign, demanding the removal of the fake review.

Legal Notice to Mouthshut by IMTS Institute
The benefit of purchasing the package is that the website removes fake comments from its posts and also adds fake positive reviews. IMTS Institute does not need to resort to such promotional tactics since it already has positive reviews from real students.
The institute wanted to look into this matter further and set up a virtual meeting with one of MouthShut.com (India) Pvt Ltd’s official representatives named, Mr. Mihir Vidwans. During the meeting, Mr.Mihir offered IMTS several packages that the institute could buy to control the negative reviews on their website and remove/ hide them if the need arose.
He further confirmed that the reviews posted on MouthShut.com were from unverified users, which means the website had no proof of whether they were real students or not. Thus, it became evident that MouthShut.com deliberately allowed fake negative reviews against IMTS without any evidence of the truth.
In light of the previous events, a legal notice was served to Faisal Farooqi from MouthShut.com. The notice was sent in response to the fake negative review posted on the website that claimed that the institute wasn’t extending proper support to students.
The review also claimed that many IMTS students were unable to reach their goals and the promises made by the institute were no good. It stressed that several students were seeking help from IMTS, but the institute wasn’t addressing or responding to their problems.
As IMTS institute tried several times to find out the names and addresses of these students, so they could reach out and help them, but Mr. Farooqui refused to disclose the details or even acknowledge the email sent by IMTS. To have the fake negative review removed from MouthShut.com’s website, the institute sent a legal notice to the CEO.
The law prohibits paying for internet reviews since it is considered malpractice and deceptive to the end user. IMTS has established history by educating students in India and overseas, and it has been recognized for its students’ dedication and efforts. Negative phony reviews can harm the institute’s reputation and so cannot be accepted.
